Practical choices – the Halcyon fireplace also offers you the choice of implementing our remote heat kit.  The remote heat kit is designed to reduce mantel temperatures and allow the heat generated by the fireplace to be used in other parts of the room or in adjoining rooms, including upstairs.  Normally heat from the fireplace concentrates in the area where the fireplace sits.  By adding the remote heat kit, the heat from the Contemporary Direct Vent Halcyon fireplace will pass through duct pipes and exit where the termination point has been installed.  It is a great way to share the warmth!
